Here is a list of resources that may be helpful for current or prospective clients.

SAMHSA

The goal of this federal agency is to decrease the negative effects of substance abuse and mental illness on communities in the United States. Useful articles, such as the ones listed below, are available on their website.

AL-ANON

Al-Anon is a support program for those affected by a loved one's alcoholism. It offers a safe, confidential space for members to share their experiences, gain insight, and connect with others facing similar challenges. Guided by the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Al-Anon’s primary goal is to help family members and friends find their own healing and recovery.

NAR-ANON

Nar-Anon is a 12-step support program for individuals affected by a loved one’s drug addiction. The program offers a safe, confidential space for members to share their experiences, gain support, and learn from others facing similar challenges.

FAMILIES ANONYMOUS

Families Anonymous (FA) is a 12-Step fellowship that offers support to family members and friends affected by a loved one's destructive behavior, whether related to substance use or other challenges. Their meetings provide a compassionate community where people who share similar experiences offer understanding and encouragement. Anyone concerned about a loved one is welcome, even if they are unsure about the severity of the problem.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS (AA)

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is a fellowship of people who come together to solve their drinking problem. It doesn’t cost anything to attend A.A. meetings. There are no age or education requirements to participate. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem.

NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS (NA)

Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is a global, community-based 12-step program that offers support to individuals recovering from drug addiction. The program emphasizes personal growth, accountability, and mutual support through regular meetings and the Twelve Steps.
