Some individuals need help beyond the therapy session or treatment facility, transitional or Sober living is not always an option for women, either by geographical or other constraints. This is particularly true for women in middle or later stages of life returning to Midwest regions. As a recovery companion, I provide customized one-on-one support during crucial times of transition.
- Transition home following residential or inpatient treatment.
- Companion support during initial adjustment to PHP or Outpatient treatment.
- Persons facing stressors like court dates, job interviews, or family visits.
Companionship offers structure, emotional support, and accountability. I tailor my involvement based on what’s needed—ranging from daily visits to overnight stays or scheduled accompaniment throughout the week.
Individualized Recovery Companion Services May Include:
- Personalized One-to-One Recovery Coaching and Support
Tailored, strengths-based support designed to reinforce recovery goals, build confidence, and provide consistent accountability during vulnerable transition periods. - Collaboration with Clinical and Care Teams
Coordination with therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, treatment providers, and family members (with appropriate releases) to ensure continuity of care and alignment of recovery goals. - Professional and Travel Support
Accompaniment during business travel or high-risk situations where additional structure and accountability are clinically indicated. Travel alongside clients when appropriate to stabilize routines and reduce relapse risk. - Facilitating Recovery Engagement
Support with attending recovery meetings (12-Step, SMART Recovery, or other preferred pathways), introducing clients to community resources, and helping establish meaningful peer connections. - Accountability and Monitoring
Implementation of agreed-upon accountability measures, which may include random drug and alcohol testing when clinically appropriate and requested by family or care teams.

Practical coaching in budgeting, employment readiness, educational planning, time management, and daily structure to promote independence and long-term stability. - 24/7 Support and Crisis Containment
Structured availability during contracted periods to provide real-time guidance, de-escalation support, and decision-making assistance. - Trigger Identification and Relapse Prevention Planning
Helping clients recognize internal and external triggers, develop coping strategies, and create individualized relapse prevention and wellness plans. - Establishing Healthy Patterns and Sustainable Recovery Routines
Supporting the development of new daily rhythms, self-care practices, exercise routines, and values-aligned goals that reinforce recovery as a lifestyle — not just abstinence.
